Needless to say these don’t go together all that well. If you have ever tried running or lifting with a  banging head the day after a few beers, you’ll know it’s just not a pleasant feeling!

But more than that, excess alcohol actually inhibits muscle recovery, so much so that loads of your hard work goes to waste when you drink. Alcohol even breaks down muscle tissue, making it an even greater enemy of the fit.
