getting started

Starting anything new can sometimes be really quite daunting. Often you have little or no experience in what you are about to undertake. The future is not as clear as it once was. You may have niggling doubts as to whether what you are about to do is really for the best

But what if you don’t do something? What if you settle for the known world?

A baby doesn’t know how to walk before it tries. It falls over many, many times. But does it give up and settle for sitting down and crawling for the rest of time? Of course not. It keeps going until it has mastered the art of walking

And so it should be for you when you take on a new challenge. You want to get fitter and healthier, You want to eat better. You want to sleep better

You start off with great intentions, and then life gets in the way. You stop for whatever reason, or rather, make something into an excuse:

“Of course I couldn’t eat healthily, I was out on a works do”

Actually, the likelihood is that you didn’t really try hard enough. The baby in you had done though, all those years ago – and managed to walk – and without instructions. And you are the same person, right?

So let’s have that baby out again. That previous you that would give anything a go, and keep at it until you mastered it. The most successful people fail and fail again – they do so more than anyone else. But because of that they also succeed more often than anyone else, and get better at being successful
