Quite often, if you haven’t been exercising regularly far a while, it’s surprising how quickly you get out of breath. This is genuinely quite an unpleasant feeling, and it can even make us feel inadequate, surprised at how little we can do without breathing heavily
This is absolutely normal, we are pushing ourselves beyond what we are used to, it’s bound to happen. When professional athletes push themselves to the limit, they too end up out of breath. The only difference is that they can do more than me and you before getting to that stage.
The good news is that by exercising, we can achieve more and more until we get out of breath as well. We, like the athlete, are pushing the limits further and further until we get out of breath
At the start, it can be a bit unnerving. It’s actually totally normal!
