take some time for yourself

Life is simply so hectic at the moment it’s sometimes difficult to put it all in perspective. One thing that I used to snigger at, but now dp every morning, is take a moment or two of silence, to spend just a couple of minutes in mindfulness. I simply sit, or stand, peacefully, close my eyes and really concentrate on breathing in silently and smoothly through my nose and out through my mouth.

I try to think of nothing else, just that silent breath. Everything else is pushed out of my mind for those brief moments. On reopening my eyes I can genuinely say that I feel more relaxed, in control, and better prepared for the day.

Sound bonkers? It did to me as well. I then tried it, loved it, and have now adopted it into how I start each and every morning.
