A Iittle before the nights started drawing in, and we were finishing our bootcamp sessions in the dark, one of my clients sked me the following question:
“What do you do in the winter?”
My sile response was to look at hm a little askance, and reply “Well, we just carry on, we don’t stop just because it’s dark or wet”
“Oh excellent” came his swift reply, relieved that this was the case and that we didn’t shut down for the winter!
And over the past few days I’ve overheard the following comments from members
- “I do like lying down and letting it rain on my face”
- “At least nobody can see you in the dark”
- “I don’t like training in the heat, this is much better”
And these comments are ALL from members who joined in the spring of this year and now look forward to working out in the cold, dark, nights.
A little lack of light, some rain, fog or wind never harmed anyone. In fact, working out in grotty conditions (or some may say the perfect conditions!) gives many of us an even greater sense of satisfaction than it does on a sunny summer morning. Battling the elements (as long as you have the right kit on!) is just part of the whole challenge.
Getting out, amongst your friends, is also the best way to banish any winter blues you may have.
So, if you fancy trying it out, just book yourself in for a free trial using the Services page, come along, and see what all the fuss/fun is about
I’ll see you in the Park,
